Kukicha "Karigane or Bocha" is a same tea made of stems from high quality grade teas such as Sencha or Gyokuro. To obtain the stems, workers use a special pair of small scissors to trim off the first several centimeters of stem from below the leaf. The stems are naturally low in caffeine and gives a very sweet and less astringent taste to the tea. This kukicha is very similar to Sencha, but it is sweeter, less astringent and less umami tasting. You can also enjoy this tea brewed with cold water.

Leaf: Light yellow and neon green soft stems, shiny, sleek and tiny in appearance releasing an aroma of sweet blossoms mixed with heavy vegetal under tones.
Infused leaf: Bright, neon green stalks, perfectly even with notes of broccoli and garden peas.
Liquor: Very sweet fragrant liquor, with strong umami/kelpy flavour gently followed by sweet peas, broccoli and freshly mown grass, well balanced with no astringency. Delicious tea for any time of day.

"Litlle Poetry" by JD

"It's spring, and you survived the dark, cold winter
Hues of neon yellow and bright green colours fogged your eyes
You close them and let your other senses flow
Aromas of sweet blossoms and freshly cut grass intoxicate you
Then the taste comes; Creamy umami, broccoli and garden peas
Are you out of your mind?
You open your eyes....
In this murky World, you are just a humble beggar
But the girl who gave you a cup of freshly made Kukicha tea knows, that you are also a beautiful soul.... it warms you up for the rest of your day"
